TERMS & CONDITIONS
The jungle has its own rules — and so does booking with us. Please read these terms carefully before confirming your Jim Corbett safari.
On This Page
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Vanraaz website and your booking of any safari package, jungle stay, or related travel service offered by Vanraaz ("we", "us", "our"), based in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand. By submitting an inquiry, confirming a booking, or making payment toward a Vanraaz package, you ("you", "guest", "traveller") agree to be bound by these Terms.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website, submitting an inquiry form, or communicating with us via WhatsApp, phone, or email to request a booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not proceed with a booking and contact us to discuss your concerns.
Vanraaz acts as a wildlife tour and travel experience facilitator, coordinating safari permits, naturalist guides, transport, and accommodation on your behalf through authorized local operators and Forest Department channels.
Bookings & Confirmation
A booking inquiry submitted through our website, WhatsApp, or phone does not constitute a confirmed booking. A booking is considered confirmed only after:
- We have verified availability of the requested safari zone, date, and accommodation with the relevant Forest Department and partner properties
- You have received a written (WhatsApp/email) confirmation with full itinerary and pricing from Vanraaz
- The required advance payment (see Section 3) has been received by us
Safari permits for Jim Corbett National Park are allotted by the Uttarakhand Forest Department on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability, seasonal closures, and government regulation changes beyond our control. We will always inform you promptly if your preferred zone, date, or vehicle type is unavailable, and offer suitable alternatives.
Payments & Pricing
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, bookings require a 30% advance payment at the time of confirmation to block your dates, with the remaining balance payable before or upon arrival at Ramnagar, as communicated in your booking confirmation.
We accept payments via UPI, bank transfer, and other methods mutually agreed upon — Vanraaz does not currently process card payments through this website. All prices quoted are in Indian Rupees (₹) unless stated otherwise, and are subject to change without prior notice until a booking is confirmed in writing. Prices for foreign nationals differ from Indian national pricing in accordance with Forest Department tariffs.
Package prices generally include park permits, naturalist/guide fees, and the inclusions explicitly listed on each package page. Items listed under "Exclusions" (such as airfare, personal expenses, alcohol, or camera fees) are the traveller's responsibility unless stated otherwise.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
Cancellations must be communicated to us in writing (WhatsApp or email). Our standard refund policy is as follows:
- 15+ days before travel date: 80% of advance refunded
- 7–14 days before travel date: 50% of advance refunded
- Less than 7 days before travel date: Advance is non-refundable
- No-show or early departure: No refund for unused services
Forest Department permit fees, once paid to the government, are non-refundable under any circumstances, including park closures due to weather, VIP movement, fire risk, or administrative orders — these are outside Vanraaz's control. Refunds, where applicable, are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method.
Date changes (rescheduling) made at least 7 days before the original travel date are accommodated free of charge, subject to availability.
Safari Risk Disclosure
A jungle safari is an adventure activity conducted in a natural, uncontrolled wildlife habitat. By booking with Vanraaz, you acknowledge and accept that:
- Wildlife sightings (including tigers, leopards, and elephants) are never guaranteed, as animals behave according to natural instinct and not for tourist viewing
- Safari vehicles travel on unpaved forest terrain, which may involve jolts, dust, and rough riding conditions
- Encounters with wild animals carry inherent risk; all guests must strictly follow naturalist and Forest Department safety instructions at all times
- Safari timings, routes, and zone access are subject to change at the discretion of Forest Department officials without prior notice
- Travellers with medical conditions, mobility limitations, or pregnancy should inform us in advance so we can advise on suitability
Vanraaz and its naturalist partners take all reasonable precautions for guest safety, but cannot be held responsible for injury, loss, or damage arising from the inherent unpredictability of wildlife or natural terrain.
Forest Department Compliance
All Vanraaz safaris operate strictly within the rules laid down by the Uttarakhand Forest Department and Jim Corbett National Park authorities. Guests are required to:
- Carry a valid government-issued photo ID at all times during the safari
- Not carry plastic bottles, polythene, or single-use plastics into the park
- Maintain silence and avoid disturbing wildlife in any manner
- Never feed, provoke, or attempt to touch any wild animal
- Not exit the safari vehicle inside the park except at designated points
- Pay an additional camera/video fee where applicable, as set by the Forest Department
Vanraaz reserves the right to refuse service, without refund, to any guest who violates these rules or endangers themselves, other guests, staff, or wildlife during a safari.
Limitation of Liability
Vanraaz acts as a facilitator coordinating third-party services — including Forest Department permits, transport operators, naturalist guides, and accommodation providers. While we carefully vet our partners, we are not liable for:
- Acts, errors, or omissions of third-party transport, accommodation, or permit-issuing authorities
- Delays, cancellations, or closures caused by weather, government orders, strikes, natural disasters, or other events beyond our reasonable control (force majeure)
- Personal injury, illness, loss, or theft of belongings during the course of travel, except where directly caused by our proven negligence
We strongly recommend that all travellers, especially international guests, obtain comprehensive travel insurance covering trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal belongings prior to travel.
Photo & Media Usage
With your consent, photographs or videos captured during your safari by our naturalists or team (not personal guest devices) may occasionally be used by Vanraaz for promotional purposes on our website or social media, without identifying personal details unless you provide a testimonial and explicitly agree to be named. You may opt out of media usage at any time by informing us in writing.
Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to a booking with Vanraaz shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Nainital District, Uttarakhand, India.
We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
